Referrals
Aspire Care NW works in partnership with local authorities and placing teams to provide small, nurturing residential homes for children and young people who are unable to live within their family environment.
All referrals are considered in line with our Statement of Purpose and assessed carefully to ensure each child or young person’s needs can be met safely, appropriately, and in a way that promotes their welfare, stability and development.
Who Can Make a Referral
Referrals are accepted from:
Local Authority Children’s Services
Local Authority Children’s Services
Children’s social care teams responsible for safeguarding and supporting young people who may require residential care. They oversee assessments, care planning, and identifying suitable placements.
Commissioning and Placement Teams
Commissioning and Placement Teams
Local authority teams responsible for sourcing and arranging appropriate residential placements. They coordinate availability, costs, suitability, and compliance with the child or young person’s care plan.
Emergency Duty Teams
Emergency Duty Teams
Out-of-hours social care teams who manage urgent or emergency situations where a child or young person needs immediate safe accommodation outside normal working hours.
Note: All referrals are subject to Ofsted registration status and regulatory requirements.
Our Provision
Aspire Care NW operates small residential children’s homes offering:
Placements for up to two children or young people
Care for children and young people up to age 18
A nurturing, homely environment
A therapeutic, relationship-based and trauma-informed approach
Each home is supported by a consistent and appropriately trained team working in line with each child or young person’s care plan.
Referral Criteria
We can consider referrals for children/young people who:
Need a small, stable and supportive home environment
Benefit from clear routines, boundaries and positive relationships
Present emotional/behavioural needs manageable within a two-bed setting
Will gain from a therapeutic approach, education and community engagement
We may not be able to accept referrals where:
Risks cannot be managed safely within a small residential setting
Specialist or secure provision is required
Needs fall outside our registration, staffing model or Statement of Purpose
All referrals are assessed individually with compatibility and impact carefully considered.

A placement is only offered when Aspire Care NW is confident it can meet the child or young person’s needs safely and effectively.
